Marret Cooper - Owner
Marret Cooper, founder and owner of PCG, has lived in the gymnastics world since he was a teen and began teaching at D.A. Sokol. Due to this influence, Marret firmly believes in the Sokol philosophy of “a sound mind in a sound body” through the art and play of gymnastics. Marret is a born-and-bred New Yorker with a BA in Psychology from Hunter College and graduated from American Sokol Organization’s National Advanced Gymnastics Instructors’ School. Marret was the Boys’ and Girls’ Team Head Coach at Progressive & Good Times Gymnastics for over 15 years. Marret has more than 20 years of community service on his record, volunteering for D.A. Sokol Gymnastics, a Not For Profit, since 1989, currently acting as its President. His numerous instructor accomplishments include over 15 New York State Championship medals, coming from the individual and team accomplishments of his students. Among his most cherished awards are the several 1st and 2nd place team trophies he has helped his students bring home from these demanding events. Marret is no stranger to the world of competitive gymnastics, having won several 1st place all-around and 1st place team trophies at National Sokol Competitions
